Good luck. I hope that the dealer will take care of it for you without

any
trouble. I always try to start out very pleasant and hope for the best.

I
had a very bad experience recently with a contractor that lead to legal
action on my part. When I saw that things were going badly I started to
document every detail. I followed up every conversation with a letter

or
email and took lots of pictures. When it came time to get an attorney,

all
the work was done. At the arbitration hearing I had everything well
documented and he had nothing. Needles to say, things went my way and
having everything documented made a very stressful situation more
manageable. On a brighter note, I have had an Amana refrigerator for

nearly
8 years and I am well satisfied. It is the best refrigerator that I

ever
had. I know that they were bought by Maytag, so things may have

changed.
My Jenn Air range (by Maytag) of the same age is poorly designed and has

had
some major problems.

Well, it is "fixed" I hope. As you can tell I am not real confident but
Proven Products, where we bought it has said they will bring us a new one

if
this doesn't work and they have called twice today to follow up. The

Maytag
man found a connection that had come loose and he re sartered(sp) it. He
explained why the leak did not show up before but it still doesn't make
sense to me. Thank you again.

It sounds like they are trying. It will most likely work fin for years or
go bad quickly. I had a KitchenAid dishwasher that was bad out of the box.
I wish I had demanded that the store take it back but I let them fix it.
The same problem occured again later, but fortunately it still under
warranty.
