We sell a Villaware model 5800 that's been very popular. It makes 4
large, thin, American-style waffles. Customers seem to really like it.

A 7" round version is also available.

Other folks on the group have commented favorable on Cuisinart and
Chef's Choice models.
your Belgian waffles, have you tried different batter recipes? I
found that a batter where you fold in beaten egg whites (beaten to
soft peaks) creates a significantly lighter/crunchier Belgian waffle.
It's definitely worth the little extra work.
Good luck.

Need a suggestion for a traditional waffle maker. I got one of the Belgian
ones last year but she hates it - likes the thinner ones. So the criteria is
something that can make 4 at a time, not soggy, very hot and well browned.
Specific model #'s appreciated.
