It depends on what you need. I have had good luck with In-Sinkerator
brands.


Our In-Sinkerator 3/4 horsepower w/auto-reverse has been flawless for
the 5 years that we've had the house. I'm not sure how long before
that it was installed.

You can't put just anything down them though. Read the manual of
whatever you get. Things like cornhusks, artichoke hearts, etc
("woody" or "fiberous" things) do not work. At least from what I'm
told, personally I've never tried anything like that.
