Since you're still looking, may I suggest you check out Grill Dome also.
A
quality product. (I have no affiliation with them except as a satisfied
customer.).
I had never heard of the Grill Domes before (www.grilldome.com). Thanks
for
the tip. Do you know how the thickness of the ceramic compares to the BGE
or
Kamodo?
Paula
First let me say that ceramic thickness comparisons are only valid if the
ceramics are the same. They aren't.
With that said, I believe that the grill Dome is slightly thicker than the
BGE or Primo but less thick than the Kamado. But again, the ceramics are
different, especially the Kamado. It needs that extra thickness to be
comparable. But then it is also much heavier and shipping costs more.
As an aside, I wouldn't make too much out of the ceramic thickness. All the
ceramic cookers will turn out great food. I suggest you look at product
quality, customer service and price. You can get a feel for this by reading
the forums of each product for a month or so. I did this and obviously I
felt that Grill Dome was the best. And I got it delivered within 10 days of
ordering.
