My wife and I have finally (we think) narrowed our choice for a new
range between two. Making choices is foreign to us. So, would any of
you kindly give us some advice?

- Viking VGIC (or SC)36-6B: the six burner Viking range, maybe
self-cleaning, maybe not.
- Thermador PRG366US: Six round (not star).

One of the big questions we have is the price difference. I can find
the Viking w/o self-cleaning for about $200 more than the Thermador
with. With self-cleaning, the Viking is over $600 more.

What drives this price difference and do you think it's worth it? The
Viking oven is larger, 5.0 cu ft vs. 4.6. Is there anything else we
should consider?
