I`ve bin thinking about getting a 30" Modular Dual-Fuel Downdraft with
Convection, range.I was wondering if anyone knows if it`s a good range to

buy
& also I was wondering how much it would cost in Canada? Thanks in

advance
for your help.

I bought a Jenn Air cooktop last November. I hate it. The auto striker
works less than half the time. I have had it repaired twice and finally
just unplugged it and use a lighter to light the burners. The burners are
too close together on the 30". The gray grate and burner tops are very

hard
to clean. I am shopping for a different one now; so far, I like a Kitchen
Aid or a Thermador cooktop.

I find that the only thing that will clean the gray grates is oven cleaner.
I put them in a garbage bag, spray with heavy duty oven cleaner (yellow
can), and let them sit all night. I find that the odorless oven cleaner in
the blue can doesn't work well. You can generally just rinse them off in
the morning. I agree that the burners are too close. Another thing that I
hate is the design of the grates. If you have a small pan it will rock
because there is very little support.
