Just happened to pass by it while hungry at 4:30 today. Went inside
to see if it was worth trying. The plump raw oysters made deciding
easy.
Very small selection of sushi. A few rolls and machine formed rice
with pieces of frozen tuna. You're at the wrong place if you're a
sushi fan.
I easily got my money's worth eating 3 dozen raw oysters. They were
medium and small size American oysters, the kind that I like. Better
than ones usually found at other AYCE places. The soft ice creme is
also to my liking.
Mmmmm, I love raw oysters. I wish I could find a place around Boston
like that again. There was a 99's restaurant near me that had an oyster
bar, $0.50/ea. The got rid of the bar a year after I found out they
had it..
Legal Seafoods had a good selection of seasonal oysters. I've had many
types from them, and so far I find I much prefer the East Coast ones over
West Coast. The last set I had were from Martha's Vineyard and were huge
and tasty.
B&G Oyster in Boston's South End has a great selection all the time,
but they are very pricey.
