Default Good places to eat in Keene NH

I'm heading out to Keene NH on Saturday to meet up with some friends.
Anyone know some good places to have a late lunch/early dinner there? I
think we're all ominvores with a willingness to try new things and a

liking
for ethic foods.

Quite honestly, I didn't care for the ethnic food in Keene. There was a
Thai restaurant on the main strip that did horrible things to choochee that
I am still traumatized about. Instead, convince your friends to drive the
half hour to Brattleboro and go to the Lebanese place downtown. Or even
better, go to the hotel that has the Indian restaurant. If you're coming
from Keene, once you hit the roundabout in Brattleboro go right towards
Putney instead of left (which would lead you to the center of town).
There's a hotel somewhere on the right that has one of the best Indian
restaurants in the area. That might not be saying much since much of the
ethnic food in the area sucks, but it really was quite good. I just checked
and it's at the Quality Inn and it's called Dhaba. And the Lebanese place
is called Sarkis Market. Amy's Breads has excellent chicken salad
sandwiches, but that's not really what you're looking for.

If there's no way you can get to Brattleboro, then the Thai place is called
Thai Garden, I think. Although I didn't care for it (I thought it sucked),
the American members of my party liked it, so you may, as well. It's all
about frame-of-reference, I suppose. Margarita's Mexican Restaurant &
Watering Hole was a fun place. Not authentically Mexican (for that the
Royal Chelsea Diner just outside Brattleboro has a Mexican cook come in a
couple of evenings a week) but the food was acceptable.
