I know this message doesn't apply to the majority of you all who
are not lucky enough to live in Vermont, but for those of you who
do...
I want a Trader Joe's store in the Burlington, VT area. Anyone
else want to join me in lobbying for one? Or even if you don't
want to lobby, let me know if you would shop at a Burlington area
TJ's. They do listen when customers suggest locations.

After seeing all the posts about Trader Joe's I decided to look at
their website. It turners out that they have a store about an hour
away so I checked it out a two weeks ago. I wasn't all that
impressed. There were some interesting high-end frozen foods, but
I seldom eat frozen prepared food. At TJs, the clerks kept asking
if they could help, which was OK, but after a while I found it
annoying. I live a few minutes from 4 large supermarkets and about
30 minutes from an enormous market that carries about anything
imaginable from live fish to imported "ice-cream" made from ox
bile. There is a Wild Oats market 15 minutes away should I decide
to pay a king's ransom for organic carrots or a slice of arugula
and tofu pizza.
Mmmmm... Ox Bile Ice Cream! Not exactly a calling card for me from
any store. G
The place has an incredible array of ethnic food, much of it catering
to Asian clientele. People come from far away to shop on the
weekends. They even have parking lot shuttles and are installing a
monorail! I can't imagine eating much of the stuff they stock. They
have a huge departments for cheese and wine and a new aquaculture area
where they raise fish. You can go there a hundred times and always
find something new. Here is a link to their website.

Thanks for the website... Obviously an incredible store! I would love
to go there just to browse. Too bad I no longer live in Ohio. It's a
couple of thousand miles from me now.
