Take your standard pumpkin pie recipe and just substitute sweet
potatoes... it works just the same way (and to me it tastes the same
too... the difference is really semantic).


I agree that sweet potato can easily be substituted in a pumpkin pie recipe.
Howeer, I don't think they taste at all the same. I love both, but I can
definitely tell the difference.

Also, many sweet potato pie recipes call for a significant amount of butter,
1/4-1/2 cup, which is seldom seen in pumpkin pie.
