Is anyone else getting double posts in this group? It's not happening
in any of my other groups, but I just downloaded 90 messages, and most
of them are things I read this afternoon already.

It usually happens to me when my ISP has a server belch. Eventually it
should go away.

If you are using Outlook Express to read/download messages, go to VIEW at
the top and then CURRENT VIEW and make sure there is a tick against HIDE
READ MESSAGES. When you exit the News Group, if you don't want to look
again at the ones you have not read, go to EDIT at the top and click MARK
ALL READ. You can set the latter up as an icon in the top area, so a simple
click when you are about to leave the Group makes them all read and you
never see them again. Do that by Right clicking in the icon line and select
CUSTOMIZE and add or remove what you want.

Most other News Readers will have similar controls if you ain't using OE
