That is sage advice, BOB. May I also add that you should never pick one
up by the grid right after using it. It takes the bleed down resistor a
bit of time to discharge it. I speak from experience on this.

FWIW, when I was a kid my Dad gave me an old neon sign transformer.
That sucker could lay out a magnificent arc and made a really cool
Jacob's Ladder- type of toy. I learned from experience that you don't
touch the secondary lead with a graphite pencil in your hand.
