Usually when I pay by credit card, I leave the restaurant's receipt copy

with me. Is this wrong? Am I supposed to leave the check at the table? Does
it matter? Thanks.
I have no idea, but I always leave the check and I make sure the signed
receipt is picked up by the waitperson before I leave because its too
easy for another customer to grab that receipt and misuse my credit card
information. If you're really curious, just ask the next time you dine
out.
