Friday night I was joined by a boisterous crowd of officers, NCO's and
Civilians at Raleigh's Angus Barn and had my first quaff in several
months.
The 1999 DeSales, selling for $14 a generous glass, had an opulent,
perfumed
nose, ripe berrish fruit, a good amount of tannin and a substantial
finish.
I scored it a solid 94/100 points. Off hand does anyone know what the WA
and WS scored the wine.
Parker gave it an 88 in April 2002.
