I'm trying to send someone a loaf od banana-bread as part of a
care-package.

Any tips on how to pack it so that it won't spoil? It has to travel
half-way across the country.

I ship Christmas boxes from MI to AK. Last year, I sent nut bread,
mince tarts, and cookies. They all arrived just fine.

Let the bread cool _completely_. Wrap it in plastic wrap. Wrap it
again in foil.

For box size, there are two options. Use a box *just* big enough that
the bread will fit and not bounce around. The other option is a
bigger box, with the bread well padded (use sheets of bubble wrap or
packing foam). Pack the box carefully so that the bread will not
bounce around. (this is actually the hardest part -- it's a 3D
puzzle.)
