German Onion Pie

Here is a Swiss version for you Jack. Got it from a Swiss pal many years
ago. The German bacon goes well here too.

EVA'S SWISS ONION PIE

Source: Eva, a Swiss friend and cow-orker


1. Cut up 1/2 lb. bacon and fry until limp.

2. Cut 2 lbs. onions into strips and fry with bacon.

3. Add 2 to 4 tbs. flour.

4. Mix 1/2 litre milk or cream (or a little less), pinch salt, 1 tsp.
caraway seeds, 2 to 4 eggs and pour into onion mix.

5. Bake in piecrust.
