There's something very satisfying to the ego in seeing "experts"
eventually reach the same conclusions that most of us did some years
ago.

But there's also something which niggles at the back of my brain about
the fact that there seem to be a lot of reports lately where highly paid
researchers have been given grants to discover the bleeding obvious.
