That goes for all tea, not just green.
i always leave the lid one.
however, 2 years ago when we visited a plantation in China which produced
dragon well. our "Dr. Tea" told us not to cover the lid cause it would be too
hot for their tea. (btw, the tea was very good) maybe leave the lid on applies
to some really delicate green tea.
