Default Question about Port?

I've got 63 and 70 ports sitting around I have done that preservation
technique with, without any adverse effect. Port is high in ETOH, so it
lasts longer than 12% red wine without falling apart. However, if you
want to preserve the wine, cover it with the nitrogen blanket, as I said
before. The product I use is called "Private Reserve" Wine Preserver.
The most conservative approach would be to put the remaining port in a
small pharmacy bottle, that you fill to the top. Then, however, you
should probably decant it first.
Cheers,
Kent

Get a stopper from Willie Sonoma or some such place. Cover the left over
port with a nitrogen blanket. It will keep in the frig for several
months like that. Don't decant it, even if it old. It doesn't need it.

Kent

It's a 1982 vintage. Nothing to blow the world away, but no £5 plonk either
