Coffee was made in pots at that time, more or less the same way tea
was (and still is) made. So not exactly like Turkish coffee, but
definitely nothing like espresso. The espresso machine was invented in
France in 1822 and improved upon by Italian inventors Illy (1933),
Gaggia (1946), and Faema (1960).
