There used to be a woman on one of the poultry e-mail lists that had a
couple of pet hens in a cage in her apartment! :-) No rooster to crow so
they did not bug the neighbors, and she got enough eggs from them for
her own use...
They can be pretty tame if you raise them from chicks.
