Hey, don't feel bad. Where I live a dozen large eggs is $2.68. Butter is
standard at $4.38 a pound and a gallon of milk is $6.58.

Be HAPPY! :P

O...M...G!!! I'm soooo glad I don't have to pay prices like that! I just
went to the store today and milk (whole) is $2.37 gal., eggs are $1.19
for 1 1/2 doz., and butter is IIRC $2.79 lb here in Michigan.

In my part of New Zealand eggs are around $2.30 or so a dozen, milk is
$1.65 per litre (1 US gallon is around 4.5 litres), butter is $2.20 per
pound.

Buy some chickens.... and a cow. ;-)

And chicken feed and cattle fodder and build a barn.

It is not as easy as it sounds.
