in the trunk of a car. i didn't think bringing wine was illegal.

Put it in the back seat (or passenger side) inside the car to keep it cool. I
believe carrying wine thru CA, OR and WA is entirely legal.

But even if you drove thru Kentucky (a problem state), you could avoid police
searches by covering the wine, so the police can't see it. They can't search
without your permission unless they can plainly see dope, alcohol etc.

Do NOT carry the wine in your warm trunk.
