He is in Washington. But what is wrong with just puting the wine (case)
in the trunk of a car. i didn't think bringing wine was illegal.

Is your friend also in N CA? if so talk to a local merchant find out what
they can get for you. If out of state watch out as shipping interstate is
rife with problems- it is a felony to ship to some states
