I do all the time, I add 1 pound sugar at the start, turns out perfect every
time! Mine is Island Mist but I don't think there's a difference...

Tried the Niagara Mist and really like their Pink Grapefruit Blush--not
too
sweet, and tasty on a hot day.
Tried similar type no name kits for Blackberry Merlot and Peach Chard--too
sweet for me and not worth making again.
As for Niagara Mist-at $C42 bucks for 30 bottles and only 1 month to make
it,
it sure beats liquor store prices on wine coolers.
I suppose you could up the alcohol content by addding sugar at the
beginning
but it might make it a little too hot to the average drinker--anyone tried
bringing the alcohol up from the usual 6-7% to say 9-10%?
I have made several batchs of similar kits and for the most part I agree
with your comments. But it is a good wine for picknicks on hot days when
you want something cold you can drink more of. Also it is really
appreciated by people who say they do not like wine. They all love it.
I
agree the kits are too expensive for what you get. I am going to
experiment
with developing something similar from scratch using grocerystore fruit
concentrates.
