Flaky Wok

I have a Jenn-Aire Wok insert for my electric down-draft cooktop. The
accessory came with a wok that has a lining which has flaked off the
bottom and a few areas on the sides, because of the high heat I used
(as directed.) I have only used wooden utensils.
Now I notice some black flecks in my food when I stir fry. First, is
this dangerous? Second, is there anything I can do besides tossing the
wok? It is long out of warranty.
The wok burner and wok are very nice accessories which I'd like to
continue to use. I have other woks, but they have flat bottoms and
don't fit into the wok burner very well.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Don't eat the wok! G I certainly wouldn't want to be consuming
anything that was part of a pan, and one doesn't know the long term
effect it might have. You can certainly buy other traditional woks with
rounded bottoms and they're not all that expensive.
