Agreed, I would rather add a few raisons or sultanas to a salad than eat
sugary pickles - although Mango chutney is hard to resist. BTW, a question
on pickled gerkins. Are gerkins the same as baby courgettes ? I have a dozen
or so courgette plants starting to crop, but can't find gerkin seed in any
of the catalogues.

Never heard of courgettes, but spell them leetle cucumbers *gherkin* and you
might get a hit.
