I used to make Hard Candy in High School, it is rather easy. I always over
cook the soft and chewy candies. I made caramels once that could remove
impacted wisdom teeth without surgery.

lol...I can never seem to get the sugar past the soft stage...I lost a filling
once to a Jolly Rancher watermelon candy so ever since then I've been leery of
hard candies ;-).

Dad had a hip replacement on Wednesday, he insisted that the Docs only
repaired the hip. Mom can't figure why he won't accept that it is a
replacement. I think he feels that he's lossing too many orginal parts. He
wears partial dentures, had a colonectomy last year and now the Hip. So
I've started calling him Darth Dad.

Cute...'the bionic man' is a good one too ;-).
