Default BBQ joint progress report

Today, I handed the City of Wenatchee a check for $2405.99, and they handed
me my building permit. We actually began moving dirt at around 1:00 pm. The
two houses on the property were demolished within one hour --- ahhh, the
power of big hydraulic excavators. The huge rock outcropping was being
hammered down in good time, and the nuisance trees were knocked over and
moved to the debris pile. I expect that tomorrow we will have completed:

1. the primary grading on the lot
2. the driveway and parking lot base will be laid down and compacted
3. the excavation for the building's pad will be done
4. the pit for the 1000 gallon grease and oil interceptor will be dug, and
the interceptor put into place
5. the stormwater collectors will be in place
6. the stub-outs for the water and sewer will be brought up to the building
pad site

I've got pictures that I'll post in the next few days. I'll also post pics
of the new pit that will be going in the restaurant; it was delivered from
Cape Girardeau, Missouri on July 3rd. All 2400 pounds of it ( the kamado #7
was NOTHING to move compared to this big dog).

Oh, and I should have a firm opening date to announce by next Wednesday.

Dave

All this sounds *extremely* optomistic to me.
