Hi folks,

When I a kid we always had a tea kettle on the stove (my dad's English
-- go figure). Anyway, it was a good size, had a handle that
completed -- or nearly completed a loop, it whistled, and had a
push-button to flip the cover up and down. We would push the button
witht the thumb of the hand holding the kettle.

I've been into stores and to websites and cannot find such a beast.
Do they not make them anymore? All I can seem to find are one's with
funny pull latches or ones that open when you tip them. I did find
one that was the right design, but it was about half the size of a
normal kettle.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about and/or where I can find one?

It is called a Whistling Kettle and I found mine in a hardware store
for $11.00 (canadian)

They are very common here in Canada and I like them better then the
electric kettles.
