has great beer: smoke maerzens.


Rauchbiers, that is beers containing beech-smoked malt. Not all of them
are Märzens, as both Spezial brews an amber lager and an Urbock that are
smoked as well. Schlenkerla also brew mor than the ubiquitous Märzen,
offering as well a Rauch-Hefe-Weizen, and an Urbock.

There are also a couple of breweries there that
have hotel rooms above them.


Notably Spezial and Fässla, whcih are opposite one another, roughly
halfway between the city centre and the train station
