And this is a bad thing why, exactly?

Well to people with autitic tendencies it may be...

There are plenty of equally mediocre French crap lagers.

Well, many Alsatian lagers may be uninspiring, but they're still much
better than Carling !

There are even a few good French beers.

More than a few, believe me...
Micros are sprouting up all over the country. Many of them churn out
uninspiring bland copies of belgian beers, but there's more and more
tasty and original beers, especially in areas such as the Alps,
Pas-de-Calais or Brittany.
Even in the South-West of France, if one looks hard enough, there are a
few locally-brewed gems to be found. Such As Oc'Ale, for example, who
brew a delightful unspiced Blanche, and a wonderful 6% ABV stout. Both
age pretty well in a cellar, BTW.

Cheers !

Laurent
On his way to Nantes, Western France, tomorrow. Visiting 5 micros on
Friday. )))

Warning : you may encounter French language beyond this point.

Vrai miracle de la figuration narrative, l'image ci-dessous narre le laps de temps pendant lequel rouflaquette reste sans voix. A la seconde près...
