SNCA in New York / New England
The Keegan Ales I have seen around Kingston are pre-poured into growlers
and only have the name of the beer on the label. There is no
description of the beer, i.e. porter, stout, IPA, etc. I am skeptical
to buy a beer without called Mothers Milk without a label. I am also
skeptical to buy one that appears to be poured from somebody's home tap
system into a growler, unless I watch them do it. While I trust Lew's
opinion on everything, I refuse to buy an unlabeled beer, because I
don't know what is in the beer. Can't they spend the two cents on a label?

I was at Park yesterday, didn't see it. Did get a growler of Keegan
Mother's
Milk Stout, which was excellent. The family WOULDN'T LET ME GO TO HYDE

ROAD!!!!
While their current oktoberfest is decent, overall I am very unimpressed
with the quality of their standard and most of their seasonal brews.
I'd disagree, because the SOB's I've had have been uniformly delicious, as
is the Schwarzbier.
If you're in that general area, I recommend the 25min drive across to
New Paltz to the Guilded Otter. Everything I've tasted from there,
except that crazy blueberry beer they had recently is excellent.
I get to the Otter when I can, Darren's beers are great...too. Had any of
Tommy's beers from Keegan Ales yet? Nice stuff.
