I will be taking a trip to Italy in 3 weeks. While there, we will be
touring the major cities. I'd like to ship a couple of cases of wine back
to the US.

I did a Google search and found no definitive help. Has anyone had
experience shipping wine from Italy to the US? I realize there will be
taxes since 24 bottles certainly exceeds the allowed 2 bottles of tax-free
alcohol. Is it really expensive? Any problems with shipping - - damage,
temperature conditions, etc?

Also, who there would ship the wine? Do the local wine/liquor shops do this
for you?
