I got a new probe for my polder and boiled a pot of water to check to

see if
it was accurate. My new probe registered 257° F. I plugged my original
probe in and it registered 208° F. Do you guys have any trouble with

these
probes right out of the package?

I also have another question for you guys. Is there a way to reset the

max
and min temperature without taking out the batteries? I looked through

the
instructions that came with it but it does not mention how to reset the
max/min. I'm trying to monitor air temperature for fermenting beer

(yes, I
do use it for barbecue too) and I want to see my temperature ranges
throughout the day.

Thanks in advance,

bd

Put both in boiling water-if you are near sea level-it should be 212F.
Shaved ice without salt should be 32F.

That is what I did. One registered 257° and the original one I knew was
accurate was 208°. I'm going to take my new probe back and get a new one.
I just did not know if other people were having a lot of calibration
troubles with Polder Probes right out of the box.
