Way cool place. Burned to the ground. Stories I head from folks up
that way, it went quick and hot. Apparently some big developer in
Anchorage proper has now "rebuilt" the Bird House as part of a big
entertainment complex downtown.

That anywhere near 26-mile creek? There used to be a bar/roadhouse
there that always had a mynah bird with an "adult" (male, sailor)
vocabulary. Can't recall the name of it, but I last visited it in the
spring of 1959/60.
