By the way, the hard drive died..that was the problem. They put in a
new hard drive, so that should be fixed....

I do have a backup now, and I will definitely be backing everything

Price for all of this? $215, which I am thinking is totally
reasonable for a new hard drive and recovery of all the data....

Now, to celebrate (tonight or tomorrow) I will fix one of those saved
recipes ..... I will have to look to see what I have.....

I just did a crashed laptop for somebody and I charged them 390.00 so you
got a really good deal. You can't beat memory sticks for convenience but
I'd get a little portable external drive for backups. Get one with the 2.5
inch laptop drive, not the full size 3.5 inch drive. They are much more
rugged.
