Freezer Storage

I am thinking of purchasing a FoodSaver and using that to store my
items in the freezer. It seems to get good reviews on Amazon. Does
anyone use this or have any input on it?

I don't have one, but only because I don't want it out on the counter,
and I don't have any cupboard space for it. Instead, and because I'm
a single and don't buy in large quantities, I have a Reynolds "Handi-
Vac" which I use for incidental leftovers that go in the freezer, or
for pieces from multi-packs of things like pork chops.

Everyone I know who has a FoodSaver loves it.

Refridgerator Storage

Pyrex or Lock & Lock ? Right now we use Sharper Image's Miracle Food

Note: There is no "d" in refrigerator.

For plastic, use Rubbermaid - they close plenty tight enough (but they
aren't liquid leak-proof) and are relatively inexpensive. They stack
nicely. There's a big variety of sizes. They don't cost so much that
if one gets super-stained or otherwise wrecked, you mind throwing it
out. Or use glass, with lids. I don't know if any of the new ones
are leak-proof or not. And there's always Tupperware - pretty much
everything they sell with a tight-fitting lid is leakproof.

Note: Before storing anything with tomato sauce in anything plastic,
lightly spray the inside of the container with an oil baking spray -
it will keep the container from getting stained.
