Default reuse smoked pork fat drippings?

I installed a drain in my smoker and put a can under it yesterday while I
was smoking pork butts. I collected most of a soup can full of dark smoky
pork fat.

I was hoping I could use this in the same way I use fat rendered from
bacon,
i.e. to add flavor to items when browning them in a skillet.

Is this stuff edible? It smells very smoky indeed.

Don't think I'd cook with it BUT a friend of mine with Q joint generates a
lot of the stuff. For grins I arranged to process 20 gallons of it into
biodiesel. The car, a '92 Mercedes diesel, ran great and smelled
wonderfully smoky at the tailpipe.
