have a thought in my head other than getting a cup of coffee
when
I went into the kitchen. I poured a cup and then got out a rib roast
rub it
with penzeys shallot pepper and granulated garlic set the oven for
350F for
2hours and put the roast in the oven, then left the kitchen. After I
sat at
the computer for about 3 minutes I went back into the kitchen for my
coffee. Other than death is there a cure for this, losing one focus
that is?

You are having so much fun with this varoety of experience that I
hesitate to suggest something serious, but I will. I asked DD for Brain
Age for Christmas 2 years ago. I used it every day for a year and these
symptoms went away. (I don't recall ever being quite as vague as you,
but similar forgetfulness happened.) I still occasionally do the
exercises, but overall when testing I find I haven't lost much ground at
all. And I don't find myself in the garden looking for kitchen tools,
etc.

This is a book, yes? It sounds like it was helpful to you and I could use
some of that help!

Got anything innovative for my diminishing eyesight? :-(

It is a Japanese program you use on a Nintendo DS to exercise your brain.
It's interactive, so the tests do not resemble the exercises, but reflect
gains or losses. It's sorta fun.
