mushrooms? It's not a "southern thing". I rarely see fried anything on
menus here, despite all the hoo-ha about everything in the south being
fried. But 30 years ago fried mushrooms were a very popular appetizer.

Right there on the menu next to the fried mozzarella sticks.

I call fried mushrooms nuclear bombs because they retain heat like
nobody's business. Yikes!
