That's so true! And I don't run outside every time I hear a sound like
that. Nor do I call the police.

The suspicious thing regarding debunking the "crying baby" thing is if the
woman *really* thought there was a baby outside she'd probably have just
opened the door and looked. Don't you think? Or would she call the police
first and have to have someone tell her repeatedly not to open the door?
Doesn't make sense to me.

To further debunk, as Snopes pointed out, if that ruse was used by a serial
killer to lure women outside it would have been blasted all over the news.
That's not the kind of detail the cops would keep from the public.
