That book's been on my wish-list for ages, and keeps getting
superceded by other things - is it worth moving it up the priority?

Honestly Nicky, there's nothing in the book that you don't already
know about nutrition. Neanderthin adds fruits, but doesn't allow any
type of processed foods whatsoever, no artificial sweeteners, no
coffee, no dairy etc., which would be very hard for me to follow: I
would have a hard time giving up coffee, and all dairy products as
well. :-)
The list of things you CAN'T have on the diet:
Grains, corn, wheat, barley, rye, rice, oats, millet, and all products
made from them.
Beans, including all varieties of hard beans, lima beans, green beans,
wax been, peas peanuts, chocolate, soy, fava beans and all products
made from them.
Potatoes, all varieties, yams, beets, taro cassava, turnips, and all
products made from them.
Dairy, milk, cheese, yougurt, whey, butter, and all products made from
them, no matter what kind of animal milk was used to produce them.
Coffee, not advised, even caffeine free.
Now we know why the Neanderthals didn't survive. (just joking)
