Thanks for that lead - I found you can read (not write) via
usenet.mail2web.com through a web interface. I'll check out mail2web
further to see what else they have.
I got an account on TeraNews and found that both the standard and the
alternate port to that server is blocked, so that won't work for me.
I'll keep playing with it and probably either end up only posting from
home or paying for an account somewhere that allows a web interface
(such as GigaNews). I have to spend some time with my Xnews users
manual as well since it's been a while since I've used newsreader
software.
