My brother hasn't been fishing as much since his head injury.
Omedetou on your son's birth. How old, now?
Sorry to hear about your bother.
Thanks. He's getting better, but he's still impaired.
My son will be 2 in February.
So soon! Wow. It really has been a while since I was a regular here.
My other big thrill was getting to eat food prepared by an Iron Chef
challenger.
Mmmmmm, what did you have?
It's been a few months, so memory's fading, especially since it was for
just a few bites of lunch. An amazing hamachi ceviche with basil and
ponzu, as I recall.
Lox & cream cheese on a bagel, with a little shaved red onion,
absolutely delish. On sushi? No thankyou!
Maybe some capers too.
Maybe a piece of lettuce, or a slice of tomato, too. But then it gets
a bit ridiculous. But I love capers and smoked salmon.
Yeah, it becomes a sandwich.
So then I like having a lox salad, with cream cheese and a bagel on the
side!
Luckily my wife has gotten away from the silly rolls. She likes maki
zushi more than I do, other than the traditional. I don't like to get
filled up on makis, especially fried neta types like spider or tempura
shrimp. Fills me up.
Fried neta stuff is...sorta boring, normally.
