"Overwhelming"

Sorry to hear about your bother. My son will be 2 in February. We've tried
to give him little bits of sushi and sashimi, but it hasn't taken yet. He eats
cooked fish without a problem.
My other big thrill was getting to eat food prepared by an Iron Chef
challenger.
Mmmmmm, what did you have?
Lox & cream cheese on a bagel, with a little shaved red onion,
absolutely delish. On sushi? No thankyou!
Maybe some capers too.
Maybe a piece of lettuce, or a slice of tomato, too. But then it gets a
bit ridiculous. But I love capers and smoked salmon.
Yeah, it becomes a sandwich.
I find the cream cheese fats "clogs" flavor receptors on the tongue.
When I had Philly rolls in the past, I had to drink a lot of hot tea
before I was able to really taste the next item.
Yeah. Blech. I managed to have some fusion sushi with cream cheese
that was in a fried roll, but that was so far from "sushi" that I just
sort of gave up on any expectations.
Luckily my wife has gotten away from the silly rolls. She likes maki
zushi more than I do, other than the traditional. I don't like to get
filled up on makis, especially fried neta types like spider or tempura
shrimp. Fills me up.
