I repeat, I have never seen "porpoise or dolphin meat" fresh, frozen or
canned in any supermarket or
fish store in Japan.
A couple of years ago there was a scandal in Japan involving some dishonest
merchants who were caught
selling porpoise/dophin meat falsely labeled as "whale meat".
I question the accuracy of that portion of this article, or the article may
have meant that it was used
for "canned cat food".

Greetings,
The previous posting made me hungry. Does anyone know if dolphin can be
consummed in the US? I've been trying to get some kujira for a while,
without much success. Perhaps dolphin is easier to obtain.
(No, this isn't a troll; I don't tell you what to eat, please don't try
to dictate what I do. Thank you.)
Thx in advance,
I don't think you can find it in the US.
Something called the Marine Mammal Protection Act or something.
You wont find it easily in Japan either where you can find Minke whale
at
some
fish markets. You might try Norway.
