I will most likely have to wear reading glasses only. Opthamologist
says the lens implants are cut to the proper prescription to give me
20/20 in each eye.

Did you have them both done at the same time? I got my right eye
done first and it is great. The left one is problematic. I had the
left lens in my specs changed about six months ago and it is needed
again. I was at the optician again today and after having taken
photos of the back of my eyes she wants me to be referred to a
consultant
Nope, right eye on 09/21 and the left eye one month later.

This Wednesday and the following Wednesday I am
having SLT laser surgery to open ducts in the eyes to allow the
pressure to drain as I also have glaucoma and the eye drops I use
irritate my eyes
terribly.

Awww poor lamb

Six weeks after that I will have further laser surgery to
remove the membranes that are making my vision cloudy plus a little
laser surgery to correct my right eye to 20/20.

I was told that was likely, but isn't it wonderful they can do
that)
The beauty of this is that the whole shooting match is only going to
cost me about US$300.00 in co-payments, my insurance/Medicare takes
care of the rest.

These folks can do
miracles but it takes forever at my age as it takes me longer to
heal nowadays. Oh well, getting older is certainly better than the
alternative.
