As the owner and former owner of many diabetic cookbooks, I know this all
too well. But why repost it here?
Who knows, maybe there are just sadistic or heaven forbid really think that
they are diabetic friendly recipes.. Sigh..
I've several times had a friend try to be "helpful" and bring me
something that's been labeled "for diabetics". This has been after I've
told her what to bring to my house for dinner (in response to "what can
I bring?"). She's brought fat-free dressing when I've told her that
anything labeled fat-free likely has too much starch, because she read
in a book that diabetics can't have a lot of fat. Based on this
experience, I'm convinced that the big market for these cookbooks and
products is helpful friends and not directly to diabetics!
